In the run-up to the 25-year review of the Beijing Platform for Action, the 20-year review of Security Council resolution 1325, and the 5-year review of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – and in line with its Strategic Plan 2018 to 2021 – UN Women has contracted Gender at Work to conduct a comprehensive and inclusive assessment of its diverse partnerships and initiatives with a wide range of CSOs. Over the next 8 months, we will be holding consultations in a number of countries with women’s rights organizations and networks, as well as with a broader group of CSOs committed to advancing gender justice and women’s human rights.
We hope to use the occasion of the Commission on the Status of Women to hear views and experiences of individuals and groups from around the world. We will hold three open consultations (see below). Whether you have worked with UN Women in the past, hope to do so in the future, or have specific ideas about how UN Women can more effectively support and partner with CSOs – and especially those CSOs who feel that their voices have not been heard — we hope you will join us for these open and free-flowing dialogues. Your views are important to us and will help to shape the in-country dialogues later this year.
Please contact us to let us know if you will be able to come to one of the venues below.
